WORSHIP PROGRAMS
Worship Services:
- Sunday Worship 8:15 AM - Early morning worship service for anyone needing that. The praise band is gospel music with aoustical instruments. Pastor Howard leads the congregation in hymns and gospel songs. Pastor Tom brings the message each Sunday. Pastor Mark also participates in the service.
- Sunday Worship 10:00 AM - A later worship service following Sunday School. The praise band is accompanied by piano, drums, and bass guitar with a mix of contemporary and gospel music. Pastor Howard leads the congregation in singing hymns and gospel songs. Pastor Tom brings the message each Sunday. Pastor Mark also participates in this service. The nursery is available, and The Jesus Crew meets in the kid's sanctuary.
- Evening Service 6:00 PM - We have a time of song and testimony in this service. Baptismal services are usually conducted on occasion, and Communion is served the last Sunday of every other month. After Church Fellowship follows the evening service the months when Communion isn't served. The teens meet in the G.Y.M. room at 6:00 PM. The Jesus Crew - (grades 1 - 6) meet in the Jesus Crew room at the far left side of the gym with Donnie Blackburn at 6:00 PM.
- Sunday School 9:15-9:45 AM - We have children's classes for each age group. The teens meet in the G.Y.M. room. The adults have three classes to choose from ranging from young adults in the library, with two "more mature" classes meeting in the kid's sanctuary and one in the gym/fellowship area. The toddlers meet in the toddler room. There is a nursery available.
Cowboy Church 6:00 PM - Cowboy church is the first Saturday of every month except July. This is a casual service with several singers and musicians playing guitars, bass, mandolin, banjo, and drums, sometimes piano and saxophone. A devotional and invitation to accept Christ is presented at each service.
Bible Studies:
- Wednesday Bible Study 6:30 PM - Pastor Tom conducts this in depth study on different books of the Bible. Pastor Howard leads a time of prayer with the different requests and needs from the church family. The teens meet in the G.Y.M. Room, 6:00-8:00 PM, with Pastor Mark and Lynne.
- Women of Grace 9:30 AM Tuesdays - All ladies are welcome to attend this Bible Study, led by Barb Clayton. They meet in the gym/fellowship room with a time of coffee and fellowship at 9:00 AM. The outreach of the Bible Study is called The Sunshine Girls. They visit the sick/shut-ins of the church, and also present a small token gift from the Women of Grace/Grace Community Church.
- Men's Bible Study 9:30 AM Tuesdays - Our Men's Bible Study is led by Pastor Mark Hummel. The study group meets each Tuesday in the small chapel - invite a friend and join them.
Ministries:
- Support Group 9:30 AM Thursday - Pastor Tom leads this group mostly made up of those who are grieving. This could be widows, widowers, divorced, or anyone who needs a support group.
- Hands of Healing-Parish Nurse Ministry - Led by Norma Strickland, this group gives special services to the church of free blood pressure checks on the 4th Sunday of each month between morning services. They conduct quarterly Health Fairs at an advertised time when they also give cholesterol checks, sugar and oxygen level checks, and blood pressure checks. They also serve at the Rescue Mission and Senior Center in this outreach. CPR classes are offered on a yearly basis.
Youth and Children's Ministries:
- Sunday School 9:15-9:45 AM - We have Sunday School classes for each age group. The Toddlers meet in the Toddler room with Sally Adams. The elementary children meet according to the grade of school they currently are in. There is also a nursery available at this time.
- The Jesus Crew 10:00 AM - Grades 1-6 meet in the kid's sanctuary under the direction of Donnie Blackburn and helpers. The Jesus Crew also led by Donnie Blackburn (same ages) meet Sunday evenings in The Jesus Crew room (far left side of the gym) and use the gym facilities for games and activities.
- G.Y.M. 6:00 PM Sunday and 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday - The teens meet in the Grace Youth Ministries room with Pastor Mark and Lynne Hummel. When weather permits they meet back in Clayton's Cove. They have worship, Bible studies, outings, and various activities.
- Nursery is available all services - Sherry Presnall leads the volunteer nursery crew. Babies up to toddler age are well cared for in our attractive, sanitary nursery room.
All our children and youth workers are screened and have received background checks to insure the utmost safety and care for your children.
ACTIVITIES:
- Men's Basketball - The men meet to play basketball each Wednesday evening at 6:00 PM.
- Men's Breakfast 7:00 AM Tuesdays at the 9th Street Cafe - This is a men's breakfast invitation open each week to all men of the church and visitors.
- Women's Breakfast 8:00 AM the Third Wednesday of each month - They also meet at the 9th Street Cafe. All ladies are welcome to this breakfast each month.
